The Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, Canada’s premier cardiac centre, works within multidisciplinary medical teams to diagnose and treat among the most complex cardiac and vascular cases in Canada and beyond. It is common for up to a dozen medical staff tend to a single patient, sharing knowledge and expertise from their respective fields to provide the best care possible.

Our medical teams:

Include up to one dozen medical staff who tend to a single patient

Consist of cardiologists, heart surgeons, anesthesiologists, radiologists, cardiac sonographers, specialized nurses.

Share knowledge and expertise from their respective field to provide the best care possible.

Meet weekly to discuss patients' clinical data (eg: results from diagnostic imaging tests), as well as history and other conditions.

Strive for consensus about the most reasonable course of action for each patient's specific case.

Collaborate to ensure that patients are in the best position to make informed decisions about their health.
